Been there, done that.  For many years I pursued a career as a professional actor (AFTRA/SAG) while supporting myself as an office temporary. Eventually, I left the bright lights (or dim in my case) for a career in retail sales.  I have expertise in luxury goods (designer handbags, clothing, cashmere & high-end jewelry) and a passion for unique, beautiful, hand-made items.  I have also worked as a corporate event planner which was jam-packed with travel and perks that my friends and family sorely miss.  More recently, I've worked as an executive assistant in the fields of Finance and Management Consulting.  In addition to the above, I have held numerous odd jobs through the years including telemarketing and handing out coupons on street corners in San Francisco (where I lived for a few years in the 80's). I've joined HubPages because I'm full of opinions & random information that friends, family & co-workers seem to enjoy.  We'll see if anyone else does........
